Day 135- demons of regret

Day 135- demons of regret

"This is the haunting period. The time when the demons of regret come for you." - Cashback

dead week + finals week = that quote

the test that encompasses the most information (my only comprehensive final) is tomorrow. It's almost certainly going to be my most difficult test... and it's definitely the scariest. so what have i done all day? looked over the same 9 pages of notes, copied and recopied things that haven't stuck in my mind, filled out table after table, read through my flash cards one hundred times...

took a break, went to get Yogurt Story with Kessler and caught up. I really missed her. She even went with me through a car wash [my little civic was horribly dirty... so much so that you could even see it in the dark.]

when i dropped her off at the House, i stopped inside to say hi. It was like i had just returned home from war or something. I got several tackling hugs. A couple of people made a little tiny line. I felt very loved. One of the people that I gave a big bear hug was Alyssa. I haven't hung out with her in probably a month, and i haven't actually TALKED to her much more than that, which is sad because I really do love her and she's one of my best friends up here in Denton. We made plans to hang out on thursday, after my last final. I'm gonna help her move some of her stuff into a different room.

sometime this week, I'm supposed to make an appointment at the new apartment complex that I might move into next year. I think i'm staying at UNT. There's not really much of a point in transferring with one 2 years left, and having to start over. But UNT has an excellent psych program and gives undergraduate premed students a good chance at getting into a Texas Med school. Anyway, this is supposed to be an amazing apartment... my two possible future roommates have already looked... flat fee all utilities paid (and it's not outrageous, it's about what i'm paying now), fully furnished, comes with a TV, granite countertops, hardwood floors as well as some tile and carpet, 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 2 stories, biking distance from campus... *sigh* i'm drooling.

on another note, I need to put my deposit on my abroad trip. I wonder where I'm going... Costa Rica, New Zealand, or Eastern Europe (which would be 3 countries, actually.) Either way, because I'm going abroad, I know what I want from my family as an early birthday present. Because there is a possible 13 hour flight (New Zealand) with who knows how many lay overs, I want to get a new iPhone. I love my iPhone, I really do, but it's only 8GB. I have music, movies, videos, apps, and all sorts of junk to store, and the 8GB is filled up by about 1/2 of my music. SO for an early birthday present, I want a 32 GB iPhone 3G s. I know it's a lot of space, but I doubt it would take me that long to fill it. this is the first time i've known what i want for my birthday before i was already out on my birthday shopping for it...

i'm talking about a whole lot of nonsense again. I should be studying. Ok, putting my nose back on the grindstone now.

Our Daily Challenge - February 9, 2011 - Love

I have a whole new respect for people who shoot this type of picture and really make it work. It's not as easy as it looks.

A book is a magic carpet that will take you beyond the mists of Avalon. That's what I love about it most.

Beyond the Mists of Avalon,
With towers tall which brightly gleam,
I search 'til I am woebegone
For the ghost of a memory that still lingers on.
Where Lancelot rides ever on
And chivalry still reigns supreme,
Where virtue is a paragon,
Beyond the Mists of Avalon.
Where elegant damsels in pale chiffon
Dine upon dishes of berries and cream.
Beyond the Mists of Avalon,
As the ghost of a memory still lingers on.
Oh, Merlin, weave your pentagon
And call on the light of the last moonbeam
To create once again that land which has gone
Beyond the Mists of Avalon.
Hold tight to the wings of Death's black swan,
Look down and see Camelot...a shattered dream.
Beyond the Mists of Avalon,
Where the ghost of a memory still lingers on.
